Even though some reports from France about Arsenal’s pursuit for Malcom over the weekend weren’t very positive, the word in Brazil is quite different.

More than one outlet in the South American country claims the deal for the Bordeaux forward could be done very soon, after significant advances in the talks in the past few days.

It was first Goal who claimed that after a very good development on Thursday, Arsenal and Bordeaux have scheduled a meeting for today, where the final details of the transfer should be discussed.

After crediting Goal, reliable outlet Globo Esporte was able to confirm the information as well, claiming the Gunners should pay around €50m for the player, with an offer of a five-year contract.

Globo Esporte claims that three of Malcom’s agents, Fernando Garcia, Guilherme Miranda and Léo Cornacini, are in Europe to close the deal, and should do it in London in the next few days.

Bruno Andrade, the reporter from Goal, still claimed that “Raul Sanllehi, Arsenal’s new head of football operations, has been heavily involved in the negotiations despite not formally starting his role at the club until February 1st.”
