On Friday, AFC Bournemouth announced the appointment of Tiago Pinto as their president of football operations.
The 39-year-old Portuguese arrived at Bournemouth after spending over three years at AS Roma between January 2021 and February 2024.
Pinto could look at his former club to help Bournemouth bolster the squad in the summer window, according to ASRomaLive.it.
Andoni Iraola’s side have already looked at Roma’s Tammy Abraham and their interest in the striker ‘could become more concrete’ after their new Cheers chief takes charge next week.
The England international had missed most part of the season due to a serious injury and returned to the pitch in April. As well as the 26-year-old, Pinto ‘really likes’ Houssem Aouar, who joined the Serie A side on a free transfer last summer.
Abraham and the 25-year-old midfielder were signed by Pinto for the Italian club, and he could raid the Giallorossi to sign the duo in the next window.
Roma are keen on selling Aouar and Pinto could help his former club make a capital gain, if he decides to sign him for Bournemouth. ASRomaLive.it make no mention of whether Aouar or Abraham are open to the idea of joining the Premier League side.
