Rising Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen was the winner of an ‘imaginary duel’ against the Netherlands’ Jorrel Hato this week.
That’s according to Marca, who say the Bournemouth defender came out on top in the perceived battle between the two players in the 2-2 draw this week.
The newspaper cover the Bournemouth defender today as interest in him continues to grow and bids are expected in the summer.
Real Madrid are one of the sides monitoring him and had scouts present at De Kuip to keep a close eye on his development.
They’re chasing at least one new centre-back this summer after issues in that area this season and the Bournemouth man is reportedly on their list. As is Jorrel Hato, who has been impressing with Ajax.
Thus, this game could been seen as the battle between the pair and if it was, Marca state that Huijsen came out on top. He ‘emerged victorious’ after impressing in a ‘hostile environment’ and certainly had a better evening than Hato.
In fact his performance very much pleased the Real Madrid coaches and directors, who were impressed by the manner in which he approached a demanding fixture with ‘conviction an determination’.
There wasn’t a battle as such but there was an ‘imaginary duel’ taking place with Hato and the Bournemouth star won, something the Cherries may not be happy about.
