AFC Bournemouth are reportedly bringing Romain Faivre back to the club.
That’s according to Le Parisien journalist Marc Mechenoua, who claims the Cherries will welcome the midfielder back to the club on Tuesday.
Faivre was having a loan spell at FC Lorient, and was supposed to stay at the French club until the end of the season.
Mechenoua says the player is now set to stay at Bournemouth until the summer, so it’s not like the Cherries are just switching his loan club.
Featuring for Lorient this season, Faivre made 17 appearances, with five goals and one assist. He’d been a regular starter at the club, but hasn’t been used since the start of 2024.
It’s not very clear why the player is being called back, as despite a reported hamstring issue, no specific reason has been put forward for the return.
It now remains to be seen whether Bournemouth will give Faivre some good chances at the club, as he’s committed to a long contract which runs until 2028.
