At the weekend, we covered multiple claims from Italy which stated Napoli have reached an agreement with AFC Bournemouth to sign Hamed Traorè on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €25m.
It was also explained that the midfielder will carry out medical tests this week.
Italian journalist and Napoli expert Ciro Venerato has been speaking to Rai Sport’s La Domenica Sportiva, where he provided a short update on the Bournemouth player.
“Medical visits between Tuesday and Wednesday for Traorè, he will arrive on loan with the right to buy,” he said, as quoted by Napoli Magazine.
The Ivory Coast international came off the bench in Bournemouth’s league defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last September and hasn’t made a Premier League appearance since then.
He was sidelined for over a month with malaria and has recently recovered from illness. Due to this, the Serie A winners want to be sure that he can be available for selection soon.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who state the Naples club will carry out ‘in-depth medical tests’ on the 23-year-old.
The deal is likely to go through and this will see Traorè return to Italy, a year after he joined Bournemouth from Sassuolo.
