Gianluca Di Marzio now brings the latest on the midfielder’s exit from the Premier League side in the winter market.
The journalist reports the Bournemouth player arrived in Italy on Friday and will undergo medical tests with the Serie A side today.
He adds the 28-year-old has already arrived at Roma’s Villa Stuart Clinic to carry out the tests before joining the Naples club. The transfer formalities are expected to be completed soon, after which Billing will sign a contract with Antonio Conte’s side and the deal will be made official.
Napoli’s Michael Folorunsho is expected to join Fiorentina in January and the Cherries man will replace him.
The Denmark international clocked in 176 minutes from 10 Premier League games this season. Andoni Iraola’s decision to leave him out of his core plans has convinced Billing to join Napoli on loan.
Di Marzio claims the Italian club will have an option to make the Dane’s stay permanent for €10m.
