AFC Bournemouth are ‘in the picture’ for Atalanta forward Jeremie Boga as he gears up to leave the Italian side in January.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report the Cherries interest in the player via a source inside of the Serie A club.
Boga has been heavily linked with a move away from Atalanta since the summer, when he was close to joining Leicester at the end of the transfer window.
He’s only played in five games in Serie A this season, featuring in just 5% of the available minutes as Gian Piero Gasperini prefers others ahead of him.
Several sides are eyeing up a deal for him and Foot Mercato report that Bournemouth are one of them.
They cover the player and interest from Marseille, with a loan deal in the next few days ‘becoming increasingly clear’.
While the French side are pushing, they are not the only ones to be doing so as Bournemouth are also ‘in the picture’, a source ‘inside Atalanta’ has told the website.
Whether they can win the race remains to be seen but it seems they are certainly in it and have been in contact with Atalanta over the player, who could be a huge coup for them if they can pull something off here.
