Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarnyi has insisted he knew his side could beat Everton, even when they were 2-0 down in the 87th minutes.

Everton appeared to be on course for a comfortable 2-0 victory, which would have been their first of the season, after goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the beginning of the second half.
The Blues had dominated proceedings and been comfortable for much of the game courtesy of their best performance of the season and a Bournemouth display that was sorely lacking.
However, Antoine Semenyo’s 87thh strike turned the tide dramatically and was followed by goals from Lewis Cook and Luis Sinisterra in the 92nd minute and 96th minute to seal a 3-2 win or Bournemouth.
Zabarnyi, though, insists he never stopped believing, particularly after seeing a similar turnaround last season against Luton Town.
“The match was very difficult,” he said.
“It’s hard for all teams to play in Liverpool, because there is a great atmosphere at Goodison Park, the fans are driving Everton forward. However, we did not give up until the very end and were rewarded with three points.
“We already had a similar situation last season with Luton, when we were 0-3 down after the first half and eventually won 4-3. After that match, I realized that anything is possible in football. Even when we were losing to Everton 0-2, I believed in victory until the last second.
“It was an incredible feeling. It was very hard: there were few chances, but everyone did well, we played to the end and our substitutions worked.”
