Bournemouth forward Hamed Junior Traoré ‘is being followed’ by Sevilla ahead of the January transfer window as the Spanish side look for creative ways to strengthen their squad.
That’s according to AS, who cover the Ivorian briefly today and how Sevilla are ‘not standing still’ in their efforts despite money problems before January.
Reports throughout this week have linked Sevilla with a move for the Bournemouth man, who is currently struggling for game time under Andoni Iraola.
That’s seen him linked with a move away and potentially to Sevilla, where reports in Italy and Spain have made it clear they like him.
AS follow that up today and say that while their director of football Victor Orta has warned that the club’s options in the winter market were limited and they need to be imaginative due to financial constraints, that does not mean he and his team are ‘standing still’.
On the contrary they’re scouring the market looking at potential options and one of the players ‘being followed’ is Bournemouth’s Traoré.
That’s because Iraola ‘does not count on him much’ at this moment in time, presumably meaning the window has been slightly opened to a transfer taking place in January.
That would be a loan more than anything given Sevilla’s finances, but AS don’t say what’s being explored either way.
Indeed, their report is rather thin on the details at this point and it seems Sevilla have done nothing more than take a look at the Bournemouth man so far, but that can change in the coming weeks so he’s very much someone to keep an eye on.
