Bournemouth will note another positive turn in Luis Sinisterra’s loan spell. The winger produced a strong display in Cruzeiro’s 1-1 draw with Ceará on Saturday.
Local outlet Central da Toca highlighted that he has now been involved in six consecutive matches – something he had not achieved for two years.
Sinisterra did not start the game, but he came on before half-time after Keny Arroyo felt pain in his right thigh. Once on the pitch, he linked well with the team, created chances and tested the goalkeeper with a sharp effort early in the second half. The Colombian spoke in the mixed zone and said he finally feels his body responding.
“I was prepared. At any moment, you need to be ready to help the team. I think I came in well, and I thank the manager for helping me a lot. Each game, I feel much better. It is a long path, and I am very happy about it,” he said.
He also pointed to the medical staff. “It is a job we are doing with the medical department. The manager too. We are seeing the results little by little. This is just the beginning. The idea is to be better physically for the Cup and prepare to be in my best form in 2026.”
Bournemouth player gets high praise from the local press
Local journalists praised his evolution. Globo Esporte’s Guilherme Macedo argued that Sinisterra has been productive in possession, noting: “Technically, he is very good. His passes have been purposeful, and he is trying more dribbles. If the medical department treats him well, Cruzeiro will have one of the best wingers in the country.”
Journalist Samuel Venâncio was even more direct: “When we have Sinisterra at 100%, we will have a winger who can break any game.”
Bournemouth will see this as encouraging. The Premier League side wanted him to regain rhythm after long injury spells. His recent run of matches suggests he is finally building consistency.
