Tottenham Hotspur have previously been mentioned as a suitor for Tarik Muharemovic, who also now of interest to Bournemouth.
The centre-back has often been the centre of attention in Italy over the last few months. He led Bosnia to the World Cup in March, putting in a standout performance in the playoff final against Italy. This came amidst impressive performances in Serie A for Sassuolo.
He’s become one of the best defenders in the Italian top-flight, attracting attention from Inter Milan. Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali recently flew to England to speak to Premier League clubs.
That is when Sport Witness covered Tottenham’s interest, with Inter stepping away from the scene.
Bournemouth now have a big chance at signing the defender.
Cherries can soon make offer
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that suitors for the centre-back are increasing.
Como are in the race but it is Bournemouth who have ‘expressed interest’ in his signing. They are closely monitoring the player’s situation, with Inter’s move now not as advanced as it once was.
The report also believes that Como might just a bit ahead in the race. They have made initial enquiries, as they prepare to play in the Champions League.
But an offer from Bournemouth can come in the ‘coming weeks’ and it remains to be seen if Tottenham are still in the picture.
Previously, Sassuolo’s demands were said to be in the region of €35m, which is unlikely to be an issue for the Cherries.

Bournemouth have constantly looked at players in Italy, ever since Tiago Pinto joined. This is probably why they’re also interested in Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel
Similar happened for Dean Huijsen. Like Muharemovic, he also came through the Juve youth academy before they decided to part ways.
Muharemovic is a bit older but probably just as good. With Marcos Senesi gone, he would be a possible upgrade too.
Tottenham appear to be closing in on Jan Paul Van Hecke, which should give Bournemouth an advantage.
