Bournemouth have an agreement in place with Lille defender Bafodé Diakité, who is the priority to replace Ilya Zabarnyi should he join Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to L’Equipe and journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who have the same information on the situation.
Hawkins reports that Lille’s president has set a €35m asking price on Diakité. He is Bournemouth’s priority target to replace Zabarnyi, who is set to leave for PSG. The Lille defender already has an agreement in place with the Cherries, but they are far from finding common ground with Lille.
Mario Gila at Lazio and Nathan Zézé from Nantes are also on Bournemouth’s list according to Hawkins.
L’Equipe also say that Diakité has a contractual agreement in place with Bournemouth and that’s seen as an important step for the potential transfer.
They also confirm that there is no agreement in place with the clubs but Tiago Pinto and Olivier Létan, Lille’s ‘leaders’ in charge of the negotiations, are in direct contact to move the matter forward. They’ve made Bournemouth aware of their demands.
It’s up to the Premier League side to offer that and push things along, although they may be waiting for Zabarnyi to depart before pushing seriously.
