Bournemouth are growing impatient waiting for Liverpool to agree a deal with Valencia for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
That’s according to Plaza Deportiva, who report that Liverpool still haven’t matched Valencia’s €40m asking price for the player. They have, though, ‘raised their offer somewhat’.
A report earlier today stated that Liverpool had seen their first bid for Mamardashvili, who they plan to send on loan to Bournemouth for at least a year, rejected by Valencia.
The Spanish side are holding out for €40m and Liverpool are yet to go that high. All indications have been they will at some point.
For now, Valencia are turning them away and Plaza report that owner Peter Lim is also refusing to respond to the offers being made. This has left Bournemouth frustrated and reports elsewhere have even indicated they could start to look elsewhere.
Lim has regularly been ‘silent’ and absent from affairs at Valencia and that is causing problems here, with Bournemouth growing frustrated waiting for Liverpool to get the deal done.
If they were to go and sign someone else, Liverpool would have to agree with Valencia on a different deal and a different destination for Mamardashvili before his eventual arrival at Anfield, further complicating the transfer.
