Manchester United left-back Alex Telles has trained normally with the Brazilian national team today, despite testing positive for Covid-19.

According to Globo Esporte, manager Tite had no problem using the player, whoisn’t thought to be contagious so doesn’t need to stay away from teammates.

Telles had already tested positive a few weeks ago, and missed a couple of Manchester United matches due to the diagnosis. Now, despite several negative tests, there was a positive one at the weekend.

As the fullback is asymptomatic and physically fine, that should mean the Red Devils don’t have to worry about him, with the feeling in Brazil that the recent positive is related to Telles’ first infection. The club released a statement today explaining they’re keeping an eye on the situation.

Now despite Telles’ availability, that still doesn’t mean he’ll be part of the squad which will play out of Brazil on Tuesday night. That’s because Uruguay won’t allow the entry of someone who tested positive.

The Manchester United player is currently waiting for a new result today to see if he’s flying with the squad or not. Meanwhile, Tite called up Atlético Mineiro’s Guilherme Arana to be his potential replacement.
