On Friday evening, claims came from Italy stating Juventus were considering an exchange which would see Federico Cheisa go to Manchester United and Mason Greenwood move in the opposite direction.
It was made clear everything was in the initial stages. There was a possibility it was all to put some pressure on Lazio, who have been more seriously linked with the Manchester United player.
Greenwood has been weakly linked with clubs around Europe, although a lot of that has felt like his camp trying to build a deal and tempt a side into signing him.
Gianluca Di Marzio now reports Lazio plan a ‘blitz’ in the coming hours to try and secure Greenwood. Quite what involves isn’t made clear, but one would assume it means them making another offer.
According to the report, their initial bid was €20m plus 50% of a future sale, and that was rejected by the Premier League side.
Manchester United are said to be holding out for £30m.
Presumably, if Lazio go through with whatever their ‘blitz’ is, then there’ll be more on this over the next day or so.
