As the lists of scouts who watch games in Portugal normally features the same clubs, it’s always good to see someone new joining the party.
This time it’s Blackburn Rovers who seem to be interested in something in the country, and they haven’t done it only once.
We’ve seen the Championship side mentioned in three different stories in the past few days, as they’ve watched three consecutive games.
It all started in Lisbon on Saturday, according to A Bola. Blackburn were at the Estádio da Luz, where they saw Benfica beating Famalicão 4-0.
Then there were scouts in the North of Portugal, where they saw Braga losing at home to Paços Ferreira 1-0 on Sunday, according to A Bola.
And it seems the emissaries stayed nearby, because last night, as reported once again by A Bola, they saw Porto’s 3-0 win over Tondela.
With so much to watch, Blackburn certainly wanted to check a fixture and see who could impress them in the country. They’ve seen so many games we can’t even guess who their targets were, and it’s obvious they didn’t have a clear plan of where to go.
