On June 11th, Tipsbladet stated Blackburn Rovers have agreed to sell Leopold Wahlstedt to Danish side Aarhus Gymnastikforening, commonly known as AGF, for €1m.
It was also said the Championship side are waiting for the goalkeeper to make a decision on this move.
Tipsbladet’s claim is now relayed by Expressen, who then provide the latest on AGF’s pursuit of the Blackburn Rovers player.
The Sweden international has made a decision to leave Blackburn Rovers for AGF in the summer window.
It’s claimed a deal to take the 24-year-old to the Danish club has been sorted out after personal terms were agreed and also a fee with Blackburn Rovers. The report says he will ‘soon be presented’ as the new AGF player.
Wahlstedt joined Blackburn Rovers from Norwegian side Odds BK in August 2023. Prior to that, AGF and Brøndby IF tried to secure his services, but he favoured the English club.
He kept four clean sheets and conceded 42 goals in 25 games last season. After spending a year at Blackburn Rovers, the stopper has decided to leave them for AGF.
