Blackburn Rovers’ efforts to sign Tom de Lange are progressing but they do have an alternative in mind if a deal with Go Ahead Eagles cannot be struck.
That’s according to Voetbal International and Transfer Watch, who both provides details on Blackburn’s efforts to get the goalkeeper today.
VI report that Blackburn have been after De Lange for some times and have already held discussions with the player, who would like to make the move to Ewood Park.
It is now up to the clubs to reach an agreement as De Lange has a contract with Go Ahead Eagles until 2026 and there’s no desperation to sell him.
Transfer Watch add that De Lange is Blackburn’s first choice as they look for a new goalkeeper and he would like the move.
Discussions have been taking place between them for some time and they have a personal agreement in place, but Go-Ahead Eagles are asking for a transfer fee of €7m. Discussions on that are now taking place.
If Blackburn can’t reach an agreement, then Blackburn ‘will switch’ to PSV Eindhoven’s Joël Drommel, who is also on the list but behind De Lange in the pecking order.
