Fotomac claim Fenerbahce have identified Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala as a potential target ahead of the January transfer window.

The Turkish newspaper say Fenerbahce’s arch-rivals Galatasaray are also in the race to sign the Frenchman, but the Yellow Canaries are currently in pole position.

Mangala has yet to feature in Pep Guardiola’s team this season and the player could be looking to leave the Premier League champions in order to get first team football elsewhere.

The former Porto defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton but after a serious injury he returned to the Etihad earlier than planned.

According to Fotomac, Fenerbahce president Ali Koc is looking to do everything he can in order to sign the player and it’s also claimed Mangala is keen on a move to the Super Lig club.

The 27 year old has just six months left on his contract which could tempt Manchester City to sell him in the next window.
