Leeds United’s Anton Stach says he’s disappointed at the lack of direct communication with Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann.

The 26-year-old made this clear during a chat with Sky Deutschland.

Leeds United signed the midfielder from TSG Hoffenheim in July and he’s played eight matches for them so far. The German has started in every league fixture.

Stach mainly operated as a defensive midfielder with the Bundesliga club, and this is said to be his preferred role. At Elland Road, Daniel Farke has deployed Stach in the middle of the pitch.

Nagelsmann recently talked about Stach’s change of position. The manager even explained the player would have been interesting for the national team had he still operated in the deeper role.

Stach has played three matches for Germany since debuting in 2021 and hasn’t featured since June 2022. When Sky got in touch with the Leeds United for his reaction, he explained he’s never received word from Nagelsmann directly.

“There hasn’t been any communication so far, which I found a bit of a shame, because if there’s no communication at all, then you naturally feel like you’re very, very far away from the team. So you’re not even in the running,” he said.
