Once linked with Chelsea and Manchester City during the 2015-16, and recurring interest from Crystal Palace, Stoke and co., Cheikh N’Doye decided his time at Angers needed to come to an end, choosing not to renew with the Ligue 1 side.
The 31-year-old is now a free agent after rejecting his former side’s offer, that would’ve also allowed him to reconvert as a staff member later on, and is attracting interest from England once again, this time from St Andrew’s.
The news comes from L’Equipe in France, suggesting Harry Redknapp is looking for a good defensive minded midfielder capable of also offering a threat going forward.
And a few minutes later, France Football corroborated that information, claiming the player was set to sign for the Blues, with the club having wrapped it all up. via their journalist Nabil Djellit on Twitter.

As well as averaging 1.7 tackles every 90 minutes, N’Doye also has an eye for a pass, averaging 1.5 key passes a game.
The 31-year-old scored six goals and provided six assists in 33 league appearances last season, which Birmingham will be glad to see if he can continue this form in the Championship.
