At this point in time, it appears that Jordan James will be leaving Birmingham City in the foreseeable future for Atalanta.
The transfer hasn’t gone through just yet, but everyone believes it is well on its way, as Tutto Atalanta give a few more details on Monday.
They explain that everything between the Serie A side and the Birmingham player is in place, as he has ‘already reached an agreement’ on a four and half year contract (until 2028) with a wage of €750k/year.
That figure is likely to be after tax, since that tends to be how the Italian media report such figures, and the hold up for the deal appears to be the negotiations between the two sides.
They say that the valuation of Birmingham of their player is of €4.5m, and the ‘final details between bonus and payment method’ are being discussed.
However, they add this particular situation ‘appears to be resolved’, meaning a transfer could be around the corner.
The 19-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Birmingham, scoring five goals along the way, all coming in the Championship.
