Earlier on Monday we covered claims from reliable local Dortmund newspaper Ruhr Nachirchten which stated Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal is pretty much agreed, with just small details remaining.
It was also being covered elsewhere, but Bild were somewhat behind the curve. At the time we said it wouldn’t be long before Bild went BIG on a done deal, and now they have.
The German newspaper say Aubameyang is going to Arsenal in a €63m deal, and it’ll be announced at some point today.
There’s going to be bonus payments on top of that €63m which always seemed like the best way for both clubs to come out as ‘winners’.
Borussia Dortmund already have their replacement, with Bild saying Michy Batshuayi should arrive from Chelsea.
Batshuayi has scored 3 goals and an added an assist over his last four games for Chelsea, so BVB will feel they’re getting a player in form.
Olivier Giroud isn’t going to Germany, preferring to stay where he is in London, with rumours of a move to Chelsea.
