Leicester City and Aston Villa are in the picture to sign FC Nantes’ Nathan Zézé, according to Foot Mercato.
The centre-back came up through the ranks of the Ligue 1 side’s youth system and made his way into their first team in January 2023. Zézé has made nine league appearances this year.
It’s claimed the 18-year-old is a ‘big revelation’ of Nantes this season and his recent form has caught the attention of Leicester, Aston Villa, VfB Stuttgart and unnamed French clubs.
Unai Emery’s side, the Foxes and others have ‘ticked his name’ for the summer window and are all keeping a close eye on the France U18 international.
The youngster has made it to France U23 manager Thierry Henry’s pre-selected list for the Olympics. If Zézé were to make it to the final squad and also decide to change clubs in the next window, he could be in line for an eventful summer.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to further state Leicester have invited the young defender’s family to England to present their project. He adds Aston Villa and Stuttgart also like his profile.
In short, Zézé is of interest to several clubs. Last month, he signed a new contract until 2028.
