Bild have a big claim on Thursday evening regarding Manchester United and Jerome Boateng.
It’s been thought for much of the summer than the Bayern Munich player is available for transfer and whilst he’s been repeatedly linked with PSG, Bild are again dragging Manchester United into the situation.
‘Transfer poker’ is going on with attempts from the Premier League club to build a deal. It’s claimed that Manchester United’s plan has been to swap Anthony Martial for the Germany international, but Bayern aren’t keen.
Martial is said to be valued at €65m, and Bild state that’s €10m more than what Bayern value the 29 year old defender at, meaning they’d want €55m in a straight transfer fee.
Bild have contacted Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and he told them: “We have four outside forwards: Ribéry, Robben, Coman and Gnabry. And Davies also comes. You must not overdo it. That’s what some clubs do, but it’s a problem for the coach.”
Bayern may be interested in Martial next summer, but not now. Therefore, Manchester United would have to pay a straight transfer fee.
PSG are said to have the best chances, simply because they’ve been working on a possible transfer for longer, but Bild point out there’s been no official offer.
That Bild have a quote from Rummenigge may suggest where the claim has originated.
