As the great school of Argentine managers keeps on revealing new names, there’s now another coach rising in South America: Hernan Crespo.

Following great spells in his home country, the former striker has now been working at São Paulo, where he has a record of ten wins in 16 matches so far.

Today journalist Jorge Nicola writes that while the coach is already drawing interest from big European clubs, it’s not just him, as a member of his staff has apparently been speaking to Leeds United.

According to the report, one of Crespo’s fitness coaches, Alejandro Kohan, had an offer to join Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

He, however, chose to turn down the offer and stay in his current role at São Paulo.

Alejandro Kohan is known for being Crespo’s ‘right arm man’ at São Paulo.

Besides his work as a fitness coach, he also helps the manager to communicate with the squad by having a closer relationship with players.

With Crespo doing well and being monitored by big European clubs, perhaps Kohan is waiting for an opportunity to move to Europe alongside the former Argentina star, rather than parting ways to move somewhere else, such as Elland Road to work with Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.
