Eintracht Frankfurt are trying to sign Martin Hinteregger from Augsburg.

They had the central defender on loan since the January window and are working to make the transfer a permanent one. Fredi Bobic is in charge of transfers for Frankfurt, and after he brought in big bucks from Luka Jovic’s move to Real Madrid, with others also expected to leave, he’s set for a ‘shopping spree’.

Bobic is looking at €10m for the signing, whereas Augsburg want €15m.

He’s set to play transfer ‘poker’, but there’s a problem… a Crystal Palace shaped one.

This week’s edition of SportBild warns the Bundesliga club – ‘Beware… Crystal Palace’.

They don’t add anything else about the Premier League club, just that they’re also on the scene to make the signing, with the insinuation being they’d be prepared to offer more and make life difficult for Frankfurt.

Hinteregger is 26 years of age and made 41 appearances last season between Augsburg and Frankfurt.
