All the chaos at Stamford Bridge in the match between Chelsea and Manchester United last night will surely result in endless opinions on who deserved to win that game and why.
The Blues, who had a great start and opened a 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes, saw the Red Devils mount a 3-2 comeback, and then ended up finding the win with two very late goals.
Chelsea star Enzo Fernández was last night interviewed by DAZN Portugal, and in quotes brought by O Jogo, he claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side were actually superior to Manchester United during the match and always deserved the victory.
“It was an incredible game, to win like that at the end is incredible, I really enjoy playing here,” said Fernández.
“The dressing room is very happy, this group deserves it, we’re having an uneven season and I think we deserved the win, because I think we were better throughout the game in several aspects. I’m very happy for the team, who deserved this win, and even more so at the end, it’s incredible to win.”
In the same interview, Fernandez also talked about the struggles Chelsea have been having this season, as well as the adaptation process that he and his family have been going through in London.
Chelsea now return to the pitch on Sunday, when they face Sheffield United away. The Blues then get over a week of rest, as their following match, against Everton, is only taking place on April 15th.
