Olivier Giroud leaving Chelsea in January is looking increasingly likely.

There are now reports coming from France on an almost daily basis, and with the window now just weeks away the striker’s time at Stamford Bridge may be coming to an end.

Frank Lampard clearly isn’t a big fan of the former Arsenal player, consistently choosing to use other options available to him.

Giroud has less than 200 minutes of Premier League football so far this season and has only picked up a further 17 minutes in the Champions League.

With Euro 2020 on the horizon, the player will know he needs minutes to make sure he’s a realistic option for France.

And, just in case he isn’t sure, Didier Deschamps has dropped some more hints.

L’Equipe quote the France national team manager as saying: “Olivier Giroud, like others, may have to move. His situation at Chelsea has not changed for two months. It would be better for him, of course, to go to a club where he will have more playing time. If he cannot have this playing time at Chelsea, the idea is to be able to have it elsewhere. It will be his decision. But I don’t know the solutions he has, the possibilities he has to have more playing time.”

The French newspaper has been convinced that a move to Inter Milan is a serious option, although this has been doubted recently by some in the Italian media who believe Antonio Conte’s side have moved on to other targets.
