On the pitch for the 90 minutes, Joelinton played his part in Newcastle United’s great win against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

This time doing a job on the left wing, the Brazilian helped the Magpies to clinch a 2-1 away victory and get the club to 4th position on the league table, at least for now.

With the result getting big coverage in Brazil, Joelinton was interviewed by Lance not only about the game, but about the form Newcastle United have been going through as well.

The attacker highlighted the job done by Eddie Howe and the players, and claimed that since his arrival at the club, this is the happiest moment he’s had with them.

“We are living a great moment, and this is the result of a lot of work and dedication from everyone,” Joelinton told Lance.

“The club has strengthened itself well for this season, we have a coach who knows the players well, and all the professionals who work on a daily basis at the club are also important. It’s everyone’s job. I arrived at Newcastle in 2019 and, for sure, this is the best moment we are living.”

The player also spoke about the importance of this win and the campaign the club are having in the Premier League, hoping they can keep it up in the upcoming fixtures.

“We had a great victory away from home, against an extremely qualified opponent, which leaves us closer to the top of the table. Our thinking is game by game, always looking to score points, to fight for big things in the season.

“I’m happy with my performance, of course, but the most important thing is the collective. We already have another difficult game in the sequence, in front of our fans, and we will work to keep this sequence positive.”

Before the Premier League takes a break for the World Cup, Newcastle have challenges against Aston Villa, Southampton and Chelsea. The Magpies also have an EFL Cup clash against Crystal Palace in the midst of those games.
