Daniel Muñoz arrived at Crystal Palace from KRC Genk in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old right-sided player has already established him for the Eagles, making 16 appearances for them in the second half of the season. He managed to contribute four assists too, with three of those coming in Crystal Palace’s last three Premier League matches.
After that successful spell he went off to the Copa America with Colombia and played every match on his country’s route to the final. Unfortunately, he picked up two yellow cards in the semi-final against Uruguay and was therefore suspended for the final, which Argentina won 1-0 after extra-time.
Muñoz is still away from Crystal Palace after being given extended time off following the Copa America. He’s made a commercial appearance today and AS Colombia have picked up on some comments from the player.
On that disappointment of missing out on the final, AS quote him as saying: “It was sad not to be fighting in the final. I can’t turn back time, maybe if I could do it I wouldn’t have made that decision (ahead of the second yellow).”
Asked about his current situation at club level, Muñoz made clear how happy he is with his lot right now: “I feel very good at Crystal Palace, I think I am in the best moment of my career.”
