Besiktas have opened talks with Chelsea over a deal for Brazilian youngster Ângelo, with the Blues ‘determined’ to loan him out again.
That’s according to UOL, who report that talks have been opened between the two sides regarding the 19-year-old forward.
Ângelo spent last season on loan at RC Strasbourg, one of the other clubs in the Blues network of clubs, after arriving at Chelsea in a €15m deal from Santos in July 2023.
He made 25 appearances for the French side across the campaign but didn’t manage a single goal and just four assists in total and returned to Chelsea this summer.
It seems he’s not a part of their plans at present and, with no place in Enzo Maresca’s ever-expanding squad, they’re keen to send him on another loan deal.
That’s seen talks opened with Besiktas about a potential deal, although the finer details of that potential move haven’t been shared as yet.
Any move would be a loan deal but whether they would include any options for it to be made permanent remains to be seen. For now it seems talks have been opened and Chelsea are working to get Ângelo another move for this season.
