It appears that Tottenham have an advantage in the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic, and that is because of their finances.

That’s according to former football Massimo Orlando, who was speaking to TMW Radio during their show Maracanà, as he was asked about Juventus’ chances of signing the Fiorentina man, who is a target for many clubs around Europe following his great displays for Fiorentina.

He said, relayed by Voce Giallorossa: “It seems to me that they will find it difficult to make an offer that can reach the levels of that of Tottenham. I think it’s difficult for him to stay in Italy. For me, (Rocco) Commisso doesn’t want to give him to Juve, and he would come out better.

“Vlahovic, however, proves to have the balls, because he shows with his situation on the pitch that he has motivations and the right mindset. For Juventus, he would be perfect”.

This is something that was always going to be expected, as the Serie A side have struggled financially of late, although getting Cristiano Ronaldo off their books certainly helped a lot.

There has been talk of them selling a few assets to fund an assault on Vlahovic, something Tottenham, however, do not need to do.

The recent arrival of Antonio Conte has made them a far more attractive destination than they were under Nuno Espírito Santo, meaning that Fabio Paratici should have less of a job convincing potential targets that this would be the right move for them.

That combined with deeper pockets than Juventus, should make any move for Vlahovic a lot simpler to pull off.
