On November 22nd, Hürriyet explained Brighton & Hove Albion’s Deniz Undav has been identified as the ‘first target’ for Galatasaray in the winter market.
The striker arrived at the English club in the summer and failed to replicate his Royale Union Saint-Gilloise form at The Amex.
He has one goal from 10 games, and it came in Brighton’s EFL Cup win over Forest Green Rovers. The 26-year-old is yet to start in the league and his current situation has alerted other clubs.
Among them is Galatasaray and a latest claim from Hürriyet provides more information on their plan to take the player in January.
The Süper Lig side’s scouts like Undav and there’s a belief that signing him would be beneficial for them.
Undav is complaining about the lack of game time at Brighton. A move away from Roberto De Zerbi’s side could help him enjoy regular minutes.
To try to secure his services, Galatasaray will ‘first meet’ the English club to discuss the possibility to buy him. If this doesn’t work out, they will request to take him on loan.
Hürriyet points out the Brighton attacker is in the background and they will look at him if Haris Seferovic leaves the Turkish club. Apart from Galatasaray, Undav is also attracting interest from Hertha Berlin and Schalke.
