Manchester City will offer Boca Juniors youngster Valentin Barco triple his current wages to secure his signature and ensure he moves to the Etihad.
That’s according to Soy Xeneize, who say the youngster could go from earning a ‘pittance’ to a ‘millionaire salary’ in England.
They report that Manchester City would ‘press the accelerator’ for the youngster, who has been impressing in Argentina and earning plenty of admirers in Europe.
Now that Boca’s season has officially finished Soy Xeneize say that those in charge at the Etihad would now ‘go all out for him’ and look to secure his signature.
One of the key reasons the youngster would move is because his current salary is ‘not competitive at all’, with it claimed he earned around $406,000 annually, a low figure given what he’s been showing on the pitch.
Manchester City could easily beat that and would be willing to offer him €1.2m per year, pretty much triple what he is currently earning.
That would be obviously be difficult to turn down and could be a huge motivator for a move away from Boca that appears to be ever more likely.
