Everton have made an offer to Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim to replace Carlo Ancelotti as manager at Goodison Park.
That’s the interesting claim from Turkish outlet Fotospor today, as the Blues continue to be linked with managers across the world.
They explain that with an election due at Galatasaray, Terim is unlikely to return as manager unless Burak Elmas is elected.
He is therefore looking for his next destination and has two options in front of him, one from Qatar and one from Lille.
It is the latter that has caught his attention most, with the French champions looking for a replacement for Christophe Galtier, who himself has been linked to the Everton job.
However, there could be a third offer on the table, with it claimed that Everton have ‘also made an offer’ to Terim.
This apparently aired on Persian-language TV channel Manoto, which happens to have connections with Nazenin Ansari, the wife of Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
During a programme about Everton, it was stated that director of football Marcel Brands ‘had a meeting’ with Terim about the vacant manager’s position at the ‘request’ of Moshiri.
Now, Fotospor make it clear that no information was given about when the meeting took place, what the result of it was, or whether the talks were continuing.
All they offered is that talks had happened at some point recently, so for now, simply add Terim to the long list of managers being linked and wait to see what happens.
