Emmanuel Dennis arrived at Nottingham Forest from Watford last summer and finished his debut season at the City Ground with two goals and three assists from 27 games.

Steve Cooper used him mainly as a striker and on the left wing and even though his statistics weren’t that impressive, he’s managed to attract attention from Atalanta.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who say the Serie A side are ‘thinking’ about the Nottingham Forest forward.

It’s claimed the Nigeria international could be the ‘right reinforcement’ to be part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack next season.

His compatriot, Ademola Lookman, has starred [15 goals and eight assists] for the Italian club since he joined them from RB Leipzig a year ago.

The report adds the Serie A side are now looking for a ‘new hit in the Ademola Lookman style’ with the Tricky Trees player. They further state Atalanta are of the belief they could be an ‘ideal place’ for Dennis.

Atalanta are only ‘thinking’ of the attacker and TMW doesn’t specify if they plan to take steps to sign him. There’s also no mention of Dennis and/or Nottingham Forest’s stance on this potential deal.
