At the start of the week, we covered a story from SportMediaSet which reported AC Milan’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur fullback Serge Aurier.

There wasn’t a lot in the story, with the website only claiming the Rossoneri leadership ‘very much’ like the player, who could be on his way out of the London side soon.

Now for some reason, this same story is doing the rounds in the Italian media today, with several websites covering the claims.

There’s one specific outlet who brings some additional information, which is Calcio Mercato. They say Milan would need €15m to sign Aurier from Tottenham.

Calcio Mercato uses the €15m as if it had come from Sport Media Set, which never happened. And now this information has started being spread through the local media.

Tottenham paid €25m to sign Aurier from PSG two years ago, and since the player is still 26 years old, we find it pretty unlikely that Spurs would accept such a low amount for him.
