Bayern Munich are sweating on the fitness of Leroy Sané ahead of the clash with Arsenal after he pulled out of team training again today.
BILD cover the player today and his fitness concerns, with a race against time to be fully fit for the Champions League meeting with the Gunners.
They explain that Sané is threatening to miss the upcoming clash with Heidenheim, and the quarter-final meeting with Arsenal next week.
BILD state Sané trained individually again on Wednesday, after doing the same on Tuesday, but was only able to do a few laps before leaving the training pitch after 15 minutes.
Based on impressions, he will be missing from the upcoming game against Heidenheim and there is growing concern at the club about the German.
He had already pulled out of team training on Tuesday, only managing to take part in the ten minute warm-up programme alone before leaving. Bayern later insisted this was planned in advance as they feared overloading the winger.
They had hoped that Sané would get fit during the international break, which he spent in Munich as he was suspended following his red card incident in the last international break for Germany.
But it became clear after that he was not at full fitness and his performance against Borussia Dortmund confirmed as much, with him also extending his goalless run to 23 games, the worst of his career.
BILD now say ‘alarm bells are ringing’ over his availability, particularly for the Arsenal game, which is the main focus. The match could end up coming too soon for the player, who has been hampered throughout this campaign.
