Manchester City’s Pedro Porro joined Sporting on a two-year loan deal in 2020 and as part of the agreement, the Primeira Liga side retain an option to buy him in the summer.
Operating mainly as a right wing-back, the 22-year-old has four goals and seven assists from 28 matches in all competitions this term. The Lisbon club are reportedly negotiating the final details with the Citizens to buy the Spaniard.
Although Sporting are working to sign the Manchester City owned player on a permanent deal, his future could be away from the Portuguese club and precisely at Bayern Munich.
Saturday’s edition of A Bola explains the Bundesliga winners are ‘interested’ in the fullback. They included Porro in their target list and received positive reports, having ‘closely followed’ him.
The leaders of Sporting admit Porro’s sale in the next window is possible, if there is an offer of at least €30m. This would be the fee needed to open transfer negotiations with the Portuguese club
A Bola points out that Sporting, even before selling the player, must first buy him from City.
It’s said the purchase option is set at €8.5m and they will activate it before the end of this campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s side have an option to buyback Perro for €17m, but A Bola state Manchester City will not exercise it. This would allow Bayern to make an approach for the Spaniard.
