It’s no secret that Manchester City defender Eric Garcia is heading back to Barcelona this summer, and it’s also well known that the Camp Nou side are interested in landing Sergio Aguero as a free agent as well.

Now according to the Catalan media, there’s a third player from the Premier League club who could be on his way to the La Liga side, and that’s Adrián Bernabé.

The 19-year-old left Barcelona to join Manchester City back in 2018, and Mundo Deportivo now reports that he’s wanted back at the Camp Nou this summer.

Bernabé’s contract with Pep Guardiola’s side expires in June, which means he’s soon becoming a free agent, and Barça are already ‘working on’ his comeback to happen along with Garcia’s.

Mundo Deportivo writes the Nou Camp side are looking for low cost signings, and that would be the case with Bernabé.

The plan is to keep him in Barcelona’s academy at first, and perhaps even loan him out to another club, waiting until he’s ready to join the first team.

Bernabé has been introduced to Manchester City’s first team back in 2019 and has five appearances for them so far, but as the left-back is rarely being used by Pep Guardiola, it seems his departure is a very possible scenario this summer.
