FC Inter News reckon they’ve got the latest on Barcelona interest in Lautaro Martinez, and it’s stated the La Liga side are ahead of Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs.

The Catalan side have been linked with the Inter Milan striker for some months, with repeated stories coming from both the Italian and Spanish sport media.

Now, it’s claimed things are getting rather more serious.

FC Inter News report that on the table from Barcelona for the Argentine is a contract worth €7m a year, that’s after tax and before bonuses.

It would more than triple what he currently earns and is thought to be double what Inter have offered for a renewal.

Barcelona don’t want to pay the player’s release clause, and therefore contacts have been initiated to find a deal. The Blaugrana would be preparing an offer of €70m cash, plus two of their current players, with Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo named as options.

Chelsea and both Manchester clubs are named as potential competition, but they haven’t been able to find an agreement with Martinez yet.
