From Barcelona: Liverpool’s Andy Robertson could push Moreno to Camp Nou transfer

Liverpool signed Andy Robertson from Hull City last summer and since then, the 24-year-old has become one of the key players for the Reds.

The Scottish international receives praise from Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo and claim the defender is a “potential leader” for Jurgen Klopp.

Ernesto Valverde wants the La Liga winners to bring in an experienced left-back to Camp Nou following Lucas Digne’s move to Everton and after youngsters failed to impress the ex-Athletic Bilbao manager.

This is when Alberto Moreno’s name is mentioned as the Spaniard, whose contract at Anfield expires in 2019, has seen his first team appearance being limited because of the former Dundee United man’s impressive form.  

If the Blaugrana make an approach in the mid-season transfer window, Liverpool could cash in from his sale rather than allowing the ex-Sevilla man to leave for nothing after the end of the season.

Should this happen, then Klopp would have to use other options as backup for Robertson in the left-back position.
