Barcelona are now being linked with Lautaro Martinez every day.
The Inter Milan striker currently looks to be the frontrunner as Barca seek a long term replacement for Luis Suarez, who turns 33 years of age in January.
AS reports the Catalan club have been watching the forward repeatedly, both when he’s in action for Inter and the Argentina national side.
They liked what they initially saw and have subsequently ‘intensified’ their pursuit of the 22 year old striker.
Barcelona believe Martinez shares some of the characteristics they like so much in Suarez. He’s determined, a fighter and gets that over in his game.
The Uruguayan may decide to move to MLS for the end of his career or continue for a further season at Barca.
Either way, a new man would still be targeted, and right now the option getting the most attention is Lautaro Martinez.
