Chelsea attacker Pedro Rodríguez reportedly wants to leave the club, not too long after joining from Barcelona.
Barcelona newspaper Sport says the Spaniard doesn’t think he’ll be a starter under Antonio Conte and now wants to return to his home country.
Valencia and Atletico Madrid have both approached the player, but they still need to find a way to manage the operation, since Chelsea want to recover a good part of the €30m spent on his transfer from Barcelona last summer.
The article says Valencia have the money for the transfer fee, but Pedro’s wages would exceed the club’s salary cap. In Atletico’s case, they could afford it completely, but the relationship with Chelsea hasn’t been good since Diego Costa’s transfer to the Blues.
Villareal are also said to be interested, but they could only afford a loan deal.
According to Sport, there are many names on Chelsea’s transfer list and Pedro is one of them, although the club is not explicitly forcing him out. They say the player knows it and is considering his options.
