On the front page of Mundo Deportivo, it’s claimed Antoine Griezmann and Neymar want to join Barcelona in the summer.
It is further explained the La Liga winers will make an approach for the Atletico Madrid star and for the Brazil international.
Philippe Coutinho’s future at the club remains uncertain as he wants to leave the La Liga winners in the transfer window.
The Catalan newspaper states Griezmann could take the former Liverpool star’s place in the squad, should Coutinho leave the club.
His release clause drops from €200m to €120m from July 1st and if Ernesto Valverde’s side want to sign him, they don’t have to negotiate with Atletico.
This, coupled with the forward’s public admission of his plan to leave Diego Simeone’s side, makes it easier for Barcelona to make an approach for the World Cup winner.
If the South American also publicly admits his desire to leave his employer and if PSG make him available in the market, Barca will consider to sign him to join Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Griezmann (if they complete his signing).
PSG, for their part, are keen on retaining Neymar, which is why it could be difficult for Barcelona to sign him.
So far, Barca have not made an effort to bring him back to the club, two years after he left them for the Ligue 1 champions.
Mundo state the Blaugrana ‘confirm’ their interest in Griezmann, but denied having any agreement with him.
Barcelona will have to wait until July 1st in order to secure the services of Los Rojibalncos forward.
