It’s not a great week for Luis Suarez.
Not only did his Barcelona team get absolutely hammered by Liverpool at Anfield, and subsequently dumped out of the Champions League, but he also got abuse from the home fans.
Suarez had scored in the first leg at the Camp Nou and celebrated, and then insisted he wouldn’t be celebrating if he found the back of the net against Jurgen Klopp’s men in the return.
The Anfield faithful chanted to Suarez that he’s a cheat, and also less family friendly words.
Mundo Deportivo report the Uruguayan will today have minor surgery on a knee issue.
It’s famed Dr Ramon Cugat carrying on the procedure, which is on a meniscus lesion.
Barcelona haven’t yet released any information about how long Suarez will be out, but it’s possible he’ll miss the Copa del Rey final.
There’s also no indication whether he picked up the issue against Liverpool or if it’s more long standing.
