Manchester United had withdrawals from international squads before a ball was even kicked during the current break, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping no more issues come his way.
Earlier on Monday, the French media reported that Anthony Martial is set to undergo tests this evening to see how serious his latest issue is, and the results will determine whether he can play for his country against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday.
One man who won’t be taking part in his country’s next match is Victor Lindelof, with him sent back to Manchester United ahead of Sweden’s friendly against Estonia.
Aftonbladet report there’s been an agreement reached between the Sweden camp and Lindelof’s club. It’s explained the defender has ‘back problems’, an issue he’s been battling with for a while, and would benefit from a few days rest.
Sweden’s official stance is that Lindelof is leaving the squad this evening ‘for private and personal reasons’, but Aftonbladet, a Swedish newspaper, clearly believe it’s related to fitness.
