Toulouse youngster Charlie Cresswell has shared his delight at how things are going at the French club as he hits the heights following his move from Leeds United in the summer.
La Depeche have an interview with the 22-year-old today in which he admits he is enjoying every moment at his new club.
Creswell had been with Leeds from a young age, working his way up the youth ranks at Elland Road through the U18s and U21s.
He went on to make 14 appearances for the first team, with five of those coming in the Premier League, but was allowed to leave this summer in a €4.5m move to Toulouse.
Indeed, he has already gone beyond the 665 minutes in total he managed in Leeds’ first team during his time with them.
That would suggest the move has been more than beneficial for him and he’s willing to agree with that, insisting he’s taking advantage of being fully fit.
“I just had to play a series of matches to regain my level and gain confidence,” he said.
“Last year I didn’t play much. So, it’s been a long time since I was able to play several matches in a row. Today I am back in shape and enjoying every moment.
“I read a lot about the city; I talked to friends who had already been there. Everyone told me it was a great city. And that there was a big rugby club. I love this sport. Also, when I moved, I received a text from Jack Willis (third row of Stade Toulousain in England). He said, “Welcome to town and if you need anything, contact me.” I found it really nice.”
