Chelsea’s efforts to get rid of Ben Chilwell are still stalling, with Turkish clubs yet to show an interest in him.

That’s according to Sports Digitale and journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who report that Chelsea offered him to Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Başakşehir but didn’t receive a response from any of them.

Chilwell is not currently a part of Chelsea’s or Enzo Maresca’s plans moving forwards, with the Italian manager having made that clear.

He’s urged the left-back to find himself a new club while he can, although his options are now smaller than they were a week ago before the big transfer windows in Europe had closed.

That’s left Chilwell looking at other options such as Turkey, whose window doesn’t close until September 13th.

It seems Chelsea are aware of that too and offered the player to three clubs in the Super Lig, but weren’t even given a response.

Sabuncuoğlu reports that Chelsea offered Chilwell to Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Başakşehir but none of them responded.

Why they would completely ignore the offer isn’t made clear, but it seems Chelsea’s efforts to get rid of Chilwell, at least to Turkey, have thus far failed.

There’s plenty of time for that to change, of course, and perhaps the aforementioned trio or another side will show interest later in the window. For now, though, the Blues have been left feeling a little awkward after offering Chilwell out and not getting any bites at all.
